Minn Kota 30 lb thrust |

Very new to rafting, but this motor made it so easy to have fun. Easy to use, very high quality construction. Used a 75 amp/hr deep cycle battery. 3 of us went out on our 11 ft Sevylor, did 2 hours of putting around on the Willamette River near Portland. The battery didnt register any drainage at all, so next time we're doing 4 hours! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER. |

I found the unit easy to use, stable, and sufficiently powerful to propell our 16 ft cannoe at a reasonable speed. I am very satisfied with this product. However, they do recommend the installation of a 30 amp breaker on the postive pole, but if you avoid overloading the motor, this breaker may not be needed. |

I mounted the Minn 30 on my 300lb Blue Jay sailboat. It provides plenty of thrust to taxi out into the open water even when fighting a good head wind. It has made loading, unloading and docking almost effortless. One hour of use over the course of a afternoon on a 12v/60Ah. marine battery with little or no drain registering when I go to recharge it. (FYI: Minn 30 = 30amp at top speed, Minn 40 = 40amp..and so on) |
